Twelve (Jan Fabre)

In context of project: TWELVE

Exposed

Every month of 2012 Maribor will host an outstanding, internationally acclaimed, leading personality from a range of creative fields; from art genres to philosophy. The factor linking these figures and, indeed, the criterion for their selection is that the guest must be one of the eminent global representatives in their field. Each guest will present their unique take on a selected aspect of the future especially conceived for the occasion. The conversations with the guests will be translated sumultaneously into Slovene.
Jan Fabre, born in 1958 in Antwerp, is well known as one of the most innovative and versatile modern day authors. Over the last twenty-five years, he has worked as a performer, theatre actor, choreographer, opera writer, writer and artist. It is characteristic of him to widen the horizons of every genre he undertakes, and his artistic path has been marked by controversy throughout.
